I am feeling very bad. I have just been sacked from my job after 20 years. I am appealing but i wont be around for a while. I was sacked for 4 days off over a year.

I do hope these postal strikes  are  over, I understand why they happened but im yet to be convinced they have finished for good.

Despite reports in the press it was never about money, it was about all the strings attached to the pay deal.

 

It was also about unneccessary cutbacks in order to compete  with  royal mail's competitors. They dont seem to understand that they cant compete. You can only compete on a level playing field, and while royal mail delivers all its competitors mail for them how on earth can they compete. When they do the work of the others . We cant com pete because we have to deliver, wheras the competition do not deliver anything. If they did they would have to charge more themselves so they would not be able to compete.

 

Anyway take care everybody.

 

Ps If you receive a letter from a business and it has an  S where the stamp normally is, it is from a competitor but delivered by royal mail.
